Performed reconstruction of an at-grade intersection of Secaucus Road with Routes 1 & 9 and several rail crossings which included the installation and removal of temporary shielding.  The purpose of this project was to elevate Secaucus Road over Routes 1 & 9, as well as Conrail, Susquehanna and future Hudson-Bergen Light Rail tracks.  The major structures included three bridges with accompanying ramps along with seven retaining walls.

Major construction items performed included pile foundation work, wick drain and surcharge placement, roadway pavement, drainage, lighting, sign and signal installations, as well as landscaping.  Also included was maintenance and protection of traffic, and environmental issues. Site utility work included 5200 lf of storm sewer, 300 lf of sanitary sewers, 800 lf of water mains, 141 manholes and inlets, 4000 lf of underground duct banks.

Several work orders issued to date that include a new police ready room, upgrades to the security, communication, fire alarm and HVAC systems. Repairs to the heat tracing, lighting and motors for mechanical equipment. A large portion of the new systems required new conduit and cable to be installed under the Amtrak patron platforms.

 Beyond the many volunteer activities already undertaken locally since Sogea - Satom exists, the vocation of the ISSA is to engage in new, capable of assisting in the development of populations and territories.
Priority is given to small local economic development activities. These micro-enterprises, mini-structures make up and develop an economic fabric that directly impact the local populations.
The ISSA primarily supports the establishment of this type of action concrete and perennial, sources of progress in terms of local development. To the beyond, solidarity projects are also funded.
Many areas may be affected: local entrepreneurship, education, social development, health, nutrition, agriculture and health development...

Scope:  This first phase of the renovation includes a 14,000 sq. ft lobby with a concession area, an arcade, multi-purpose rooms and pro shop. There also will be new seating in the public ice rink, along with dasher boards and panels that line the ice rink; a new refrigeration system for the public ice rink; and a new dehumidifying system for the second rink, where the New Jersey Devils practice.
